ISPAL Benefit From Online Survey
ISPAL
ISPAL, the Institute for Sport, Parks and Leisure, is the professional membership body for sport, parks and leisure industry professionals.
ISPAL’s remit is to nurture and develop the leadership and management skills across the broad leisure sector.
Their particular focus is to enable individuals entering the sector to become the future leaders by supporting them with professional development programmes and thereby providing the sector with sustained management talent. Formed in 2007, ISPAL was the new body established from a merger of the existing Institute of Leisure and Amenities Management and the National Association of Sports Development.
Raising Awareness and Engagement
In discussions with The Leisure Database Company the issue of awareness of ISPAL and their aim to reach new members was discussed. ISPAL wanted to understand from leisure professionals how well known and understood the new ISPAL organisation was.
New Online Customer Interaction Tool
The Leisure Database Company had recently reviewed an exciting new online survey service which offers businesses a high quality online customer surveying tool far exceeding anything currently available in terms of quality, customisation and ease of use.
ISPAL Opportunity
Recognising the opportunity for ISPAL in surveying the sports and leisure industry, The Leisure Database Company recommended that they manage a unique online survey to identify levels of awareness of the professional body, member benefits and it’s range of professional development programmes.
The survey set out to test:
i) Awareness of the ISPAL name
ii) Awareness of what ISPAL offers
iii) Perceived value for money of membership
iv) The focus for ongoing industry engagement
The Survey
In April 2010 The Leisure Database Company managed the online survey on behalf of ISPAL. The survey questionnaire was fully branded ISPAL and dovetailed with relevant ISPAL web pages ensuring integrated client communication and development opportunities for ISPAL.
Over a two week period the survey generated a good response rate and response levels were boosted with a reminder email feature of the system.
