The Leisure Database Company announces second National Audit of Fitness Consumers aiming to profile 3 million fitness members.
The Leisure Database Company, the UK's leading provider of market intelligence to the leisure sector, is offering health clubs and leisure centres a FREE membership profiling service to measure and increase fitness participation.
The second National Audit of Fitness Consumers plans to profile 3 million fitness members at private and public fitness facilities thanks to an agreement with Experian®, the global information solutions company, which has made its MOSAIC consumer profiling tool freely available to all UK leisure centres and private health clubs.
The free service will enable fitness facility operators the chance to assess their participation performance either for the first time or, for those who participated in the first audit, to compare improvements in participation over the previous 12 months.
For public fitness facilities performance can also be compared against the Government’s target to increase fitness participation among key social groups.
BISL and the Fitness Industry Association (FIA) are both supporting the National Audit of Fitness Consumers for the second year.
Andree Deane, Chief Executive Officer at the Fitness Industry Association (FIA) commented: “The National Audit of Fitness Consumers provides valuable insight into who is participating and who, as an industry, we still need to engage with”.
The profiling offered is able to demonstrate to all stakeholders that the investments in health and fitness clubs and leisure venues are increasing overall participation and, where data is available, to confirm increases in the target groups.
The Leisure Database Company’s profiling service uses the industry standard geo-demographic profiling system, MOSAIC UK, from Experian. The free MOSAIC profile shows the fitness members, broken down into 11 MOSAIC Groups, compared to an estimated catchment area, highlighting the penetration rates currently being achieved.
All health clubs and leisure centres wishing to obtain their FREE group profile should contact Natalie at The Leisure Database Company on 020 7379 3197.
